Ephraim McLaughlin

Evidence from census and genealogical records proves that Ephraim traveled to Utah sometime between 1861 and 1868. He does not appear on the 1860 Utah census. The first documentation to place him in Utah is his marriage to Harriet Louisa Chase 23 Dec. 1864 in Salt Lake City. Further research is needed to determine the year he came to Utah and the name of the company he traveled with.His death date is confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone.
