Erastus Francis Carter

Although documentation is lacking, it is likely that Dominicus Carter brought all his wives and children with him to Utah in 1851.  Erastus is the son of Dominicus and his wife Sylvia Ameretta Meacham.  His parents soon separated and Sylvia married John Snider; she and Erastus appear in the 1856 and 1860 Utah census with the surname "Snider."  In adulthood Erastus was known as "Rast Carter."   He is buried in the Park Valley cemetery, Box Elder County, Utah.
