Esther Elizabeth Long
The Long family arrives in New York on 5 July 1866 via the ship American Congress. Overland company records only list Elizabeth, as head of household. However, the notation that she purchased 3 1/2 adult food rations indicates that the rest of her family was with her for that part of the journey as well.
Her name is Hester on the 1866 American Congress manifest.
Esther is on the 1870 census with her mothers 2nd husband John Proctor.
