Evan Arthur

Evan, his wife Catherine and children Elizabeth, Edward and Mary sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Cynosure.

Evidence from emigration and church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund) records proves the Arthur family traveled to Utah in 1863.The family may have traveled in the Rosel Hyde Company.

Birth and dates are confirmed on Find A Grave website.  His burial records has only the year of his birth 1806 and death record 1890.

His travel to Utah is mentioned in the obituary of his daughter Mary Ellen.
