Evan Morgan Evans
He sailed to America with his family in 1849 on the Buena Vista. Two daughters, Margaret (born about 1831) and Rachael (born about 1834) appear on the ship manifest, but we have not been able to confirm their arrival in Utah. Evan's gravestone says that he was a pioneer in 1849 and his name is mentioned in the 24 July 1852 issue of the Deseret News. He also sold property in Salt Lake City 25 July 1853. Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company he traveled with.
He was rebaptized in Salt Lake City on 27 March 1853.
