Ferney Fold Tindrell
Evidence from genealogical records proves that the Tindrell family traveled to Utah in 1851. They do not appear in the 1850 Utah census, and the first documentation to place them in Utah is the death of Payton Ferney Tindrell on31 July 1852, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. The McOlney Branch record of members confirms that he traveled to the Valley in 1851. His daughter was blessed in this branch on 16 May 1851, so they would have had to have traveled with one of the companies that left later than this date. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company they traveled with.
His death date is confirmed by the Journal History article. He was killed by Indians.
