Francis Singleton
The Singleton family came to America in 1864 on the ship Hudson. An infant, "Emma M. Singleton," was listed with the family on the ship manifest, and she died while aboard the ship. The Autobiography and Journals of John Lyman Smith, found on the Mormon Migration website, gives the following account:
"Mon. [March] 4. Wind southwest. At 3:35 a.m. Emma Matlida daughter of Brother & Sister Singleton from Portsmouth Southampton died of marasmus. Aged 6 months & 14 days."
