George Frederick Stratton, Sr.
The Stratton family sailed to America in 1862 on the ship Manchester. A son, George Frederick Stratton, Jr. appears with the family on the ship manifest, but he died on 1 August 1862, just prior to the departure of the Henry W. Miller Company.
The company he traveled to Utah with was noted in local church financial records.
His birth and death dates are confirmed by his death certificate and the inscription on his gravestone.
