George Taylor
The Taylor family emigrated from England in 1862. They sailed on the John J. Boyd, and arrived in New York June 1. One son, Thomas, came ahead of them in 1859. It appears that the Taylor family came to Utah in 1863 with the Peter Nebeker Company. There is a small discrepancy in the dates and the sources. A Parowan church financial record notes that they came to Utah in the 1862 Peter Nebeker company. However, Nebeker was a captain in 1863 and 1866. Thomas and his wife had a baby in Weber Canyon on September 22, 1863, thus placing the family enroute in 1863, most likely with the Nebeker Company which arrived on September 25.
In 1868, George was a out-and-back teamster from the Daniel D. McArthur company, he is listed in the memorandum book as being from Parowan, UT.
