George William Robinson Whitaker

Son of George and Eveline Robinson Whitaker.  Born "in a covered wagon" at Independence Rock, "Missouri Territory" (modern Wyoming); the 1850 Utah census identifies his place of birth as "Indian Territory."  Find A Grave incorrectly says he was born in "Independence, Jackson County, Missouri."  Date and place of birth confirmed in the Salt Lake City Seventh Ward records.  In the 1850 Utah census the family surname is spelled "Whittaker."
