Gerhardt Jensen

Gerhardt crossed the Atlantic on the ship Forest Monarch in 1853 with his wife, Else Marie Jensen, niece, Ane Catherine Jensen, and nephew, Frederick Peter Jensen, and a servant, Mette Marie Holm. (Ane and Frederick were the children of Hans Peter Jensen who traveled with the Hans Peter Olsen company in 1854). They camped for a time at Keokuk, Iowa before crossing the plains. Evidence that they came in 1853 is confirmed in Church financial records.
