Hannah Hartley
Evidence from census and church ordinance records proves that the Savage family traveled to Utah in 1861. The family's travel across the plains is mentioned in her son's obituary. Joseph Savage was Hannah's second husband. She and her first husband (Joseph Hall) and their children crossed the Atlantic in 1849 on the ship Hartley (on the ship manifest the family surname was spelled "Hale.") Hall died at St. Louis. In the 1860 Missouri census Hannah is "Ann Savage". In the 1870 Utah census she is "Annie."
