Evidence from emigration, Church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund), and newspaper records proves the Esklund family traveled to Utah in 1863. In some sources the surname is spelled "Eskelund."  They sailed to America in 1863 on the ship B. S. Kimball. 

His name is listed as "Hans Esklund" on her death certificate.
