Harriet Electa Moody
In the spring of 1853, The Moody family prepared to head to the Salt Lake Valley. According to the Moses Daley Freight Company Journal, the Moody family included William Cresfield and his wife, Harriett Henson, children, John Franklin, Henry Freeland, Nancy, Harriet Electra, and Margaret Josephine, mother, Mary Baldwin Moody. William’s brother’s wife, Margaret Anglin McIntyre, and children also were in the group. From Texas, they traveled across the Gulf of Mexico, up the Mississippi to Keokuk, Iowa, where they joined the Moses Daley Freight Train in 1853.
