Harriet Wyatt
Evidence from emigration and land records proves that Robert and Harriet Chapman arrived in Utah between 1851 and 1854. They sailed to America in 1851 on the ship Olympus. Perpetual Emigrating Fund records suggest that Harriet sent luggage from St. Louis to Salt Lake City in 1854 and received additional funding in 1855 with Robert acting as "Surity." The first documentation to place Robert in Utah is when he purchased land in Salt Lake City September 13, 1854. Harriet received a Patriarchal Blessing at Salt Lake City on June 7, 1856. Further research is needed to determine the year or years they arrived in Utah and the name of the pioneer company or companies they traveled with.
