Harriett Evans Morris

Evidence from church and genealogical records proves the Morris family probably traveled to Utah in 1854. The birth of children in Illinois (Dec. 1852) and Utah (Dec. 1854) narrows the possible years of travel to 1853 or 1854. The range is further narrowed by their names not appearing on a consecration deed list of people living in Bingham's Fort dated 16 April 1854. If they had traveled to Utah in 1853, they would have been on that list. Therefore circumstantial evidence leads us to conclude that they traveled to Utah in 1854.
