Horace Merrill Lamb
The birth of a daughter, Zerviah, on the plains is evidence for Abel Lamb's family traveling overland to Utah in 1850. Abel's obituary states he reached Salt Lake City on September 10. Several companies came into Salt Lake City near that date including the Aaron Johnson company, Benjamin Hawkins company, and Williams-Blair freight train. A secondary source notes he was in the Johnson company, but that can not be confirmed.
The date of his death is confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone in Wyoming, USA.
