Howell Davies
He was accompanying two children to the Valley. David Williams age 13 was his sister's son. Howell is not on any of the company records, however, he the two children he was accompanying are on the roster and his PEF record indicates he was driving a team in 1864. It is likely he was working as a teamster, which would explain why he wasn't listed with the rest of the emigrants on the company roster.
The children are listed directly under his name on the ship passenger list. Mary is noted on his PEF record, and David is seen with his family in the 1870 census. The relationship to Mary Pearce has not been found.
Howell's wife and some of his children emigrated a year earlier.
