Hyrum paid tithing in West Jordan Ward in 1856 and was rebaptized there on 3 April 1856. In the tithing records his given name is spelled "Hirame."

It is possible that they traveled with Hannah's parents, John and Margaret Wilson, but the company with which they traveled is also currently unknown.
