Isaac Burnham Kirby

Isaac was rebaptized in Salt Lake City on 8 June 1851.  The Salt Lake Stake Record of Members which confirms the rebaptism, shows his birth date as 24 December 1830 in Boston, Massachusetts.  This ordinance took place prior to the arrival of that season's emigration, so we know that he arrived in Utah by 1850.  Further research is needed to confirm the year of his arrival and the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled to Utah.

According to his son's obituary, Kirby crossed the plains three times prior to 1849. Also came to Utah sometime after 1857, but it is unknown how long they remained. The family was back in Rhode Island by 1862.
