Jacob Cloward, Jr.
Jacob initially traveled to the Salt Lake Valley in the Jedediah M. Grant - Joseph B. Noble Company in 1847.
He made the trip again with his family in an unknown company likely in 1852. They may have come with the 1852 Wood Company. Census and genealogical sources indicate that they came in 1852. The family is on the 1850 Iowa census and they had a child born in Utah June 1854.
He likely later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming.
