James Giles
His obituary indicates the Giles family traveled to Utah in 1866. Family tradition infers that they likely traveled with the 1866 William Chipman Company. Although the family does not seem to appear on the list with the other emigrants, there is a small note in the back of Captain Chipman's notebook that says, "William Giles 5$ herding." It is uncertain if this is the same William Giles as his father and is not quite enough to place the family in this company. Further research is needed.
