James Glade
James initially came to Utah in 1861 with his wife Mary and daughter, Mary Jane. They sailed to America in 1861 on the ship Monarch of the Sea. A baby boy, William Franklin Glade, was born and died in Nebraska before the company departed. His wife died en route.
A family history in FamilySearch states that Brigham Young asked him to take manufactured goods and food back and forth from Utah to Florence, Nebraska to aid migrating saints coming west. The account says that he did this in 1862 and 1863.
Eliza Mary Litson and her sister Joan came to Utah on his return and he married Eliza shortly after arriving in Salt Lake City.
