James Greenwood Higginson
James arrived in New Orleans in January of 1855 via the ship Clara Wheeler. First documentation to place him in Utah is his marriage in January 1856, which was prior to that year's emigration season. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company he traveled with.
The following year, he returned to the plains as a participant to the rescue efforts to bring in pioneers stranded on the plains of Wyoming.
