James Holliday Durney
Evidence from emigration and church records proves James Durney traveled to Utah in 1853. He may have come in the 1853 Joseph W. Young Company and driven a team for John Winder in that company.
He was rebaptized 29 October 1854 while living in the Salt Lake 13th Ward.
James' name is listed in the freight manifest as an out-and-back teamster in the 1863 Rosel Hyde company, and his name appears in the Rosel Hyde, notebook, 1863 on page 21.
Obituary confirms his date of death.
