James Morris
Traveled ahead of his wife, Mary Butterworth Morris, and their children, arriving in New Orleans on 23 November 1850 via the ship The James Pennell. His wife died in New Orleans, and son and daughter (Charles and Mary) preceded him to the valley.
He is seen in St. Louis with his second wife Marian (Mary) Stevenson Morris, and her children in the 1860 census.
His obituary indicates that he traveled to Utah in 1863. Further research is needed to determine which company he traveled with and if he traveled with his 2nd wife and step-children.
