Jane Benson
Evidence that the Fielding family came in 1854 is based on information given in his Amos Sr.'s obituary. Hannah Cornaby's autobiography confirms that Amos and his family were still in St. Louis as late as March 1853 (when the Cornaby family arrived in that area) and the first documentation to place them in the Valley (other than the obituary) is Jane's rebaptism in the Salt Lake 16th Ward on 3 October 1855.
Various sources give Jane a variety of birth dates. The one used in this pioneer record was the one taken from christening records of the Parbold Parish, Lancashire England.
