Jane Prior

Jane arrived in New York on 13 June 1862 via the ship Manchester, traveling with her husband, John, their two children, James and Lois.  She is listed on the roster of the James Brown company as part of "and family" with her husband.  Lois died and was buried on the plains.  The 1870 census spells her given name "June."

Her birth and death dates are confirmed by her obituary, the inscription on her gravestone, and the Utah State History Cemeteries and Burials Database.

The family sailed to America in 1862 on the ship Manchester.
