Jeppe Benson

Apparently, the original spelling of his surname is "Bendtsen," but the name was changed to "Benson" when he came to America.  The inscription on his gravestone in Idaho shows his name as "Yeppa Benson," and it confirms his birth and death dates.

The 1853 Forest Monarch ship manifest shows his name as "Jeppe Bensen" and his age is incorrectly listed as age 34.
