Johannah Charlotta Watterstrom

According to her obituaries ,Johannah  was born in Sweden and immigrated to the United States and Utah in 1866 as a nurse. She crossed the Atlantic on the ship Cavour with her first husband C. P. Ringquist and their daughter Elise. C. P. must have died between the time they arrived in New York and the time Johannah and Elise arrived in Utah because Johannah married Swen Hogensen at Salt Lake City in 1867. At the time of the 1870 census of South Cottonwood, Utah she was living with Swen and the following children: Ellen who was born in Sweden (age 7,  probably "Elise,") Charles (age 3,) Helaman (age 2) and Josephine (an infant.) The latter three children were all born in Utah. In the Utah census of 1900 Johanna was a widow living in West Jordan, Utah under the surname Hagensen with five adult children: Charles (b. ca. 1867), Alma (b. ca. 1868,  probably Helaman,) Josephine (b. 1870,) Emily (b. ca. 1873,) and William (b. ca. 1877.) The latter census confirms that Johannah immigrated in 1866. In the 1910 census she and her daughter Emily were living in Midvale, Utah, again under the surname Hagenson.
