Johanne Sophie Birgitte Lublin

She is the daughter of Samuel and Johanna Lublin. The main source for this family is a local history. Although this is a secondary source, it was compiled and published while Mrs. Lublin (Kate's mother) was still alive. Presumably, she contributed information about her family's overland travel.

Her death date is confirmed by her death certificate, which shows her name as "Katie Alexander."  The year of her birth is confirmed by the Denmark Baptism records, which shows her christening date as 14 September 1845.  

Several documents show her given name as "Kate."

The family sailed to America in 1855 on the ship Charles Buck.
