John Banks
The Banks family sailed to America in 1849 on the ship The Emblem.
John initially traveled to the Valley in 1852. However, according to the Spanish Fork Ward records, he also assisted in the rescue effort to bring in members of the Church stranded on the plains of Wyoming the winter of 1856.
His birth and death dates are confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone.
