John Bunyon Rooker

Evidence from census and genealogical records proves that John traveled to Utah sometime between 1861 and 1865. He does not appear in the 1860 Utah census. The first documentation to place him in Utah is his marriage in March 1866, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to determine the year he came to Utah and the name of the company he traveled with.His birth and death dates are confirmed by his death certificate and the Utah State History Cemeteries and Burials Database.
