More research is needed to confirm John's birth date. Lehi Ward records at the time of John's re-baptism on 8 October 1866 state that he was born 16 November 1833. However, an entry in the "Wales, Select Births and Baptisms, 1541-1907," collection at ancestry.com states that John was born 27 September 1833. Also, family tradition from Family Tree at FamilySearch.org states that he was born 15 September 1833 (citing a non-conformist christening record) At this time, family tradition (from Family Tree) will be used. Death date also reflects family tradition and data from John's headstone.
