John Groves
John emigrated to America in 1851 on the ship Olympus. No other family members were with him. The first documentation to place him in Utah is a church ordinance performed 16 November 1851. Another ordinance was performed 27 March 1852, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. He purchased land in Salt Lake City 9 September 1852. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company he traveled with.
His name appears on FamilySearch/FamilyTree as "John Grove."
