John Meyrick

John initially came to the Valley in 1853. Several years later, he crossed the plains again, this time as a teamster for John Murdock's 1861 out-and-back company. He later married Jemima Hutchison, whom he met on this second trip.

His travel to Utah is mentioned in his obituary, however his surname is spelled "Merrick" in that document.
