John Palmer Doolan

John was not a member of the Church when he first traveled to Utah Territory in 1858 with Johnston's Army. 

While heading back east in 1862, he crossed paths with the Beesley family who were en route to Utah. He joined their group and followed them back to Utah. He was baptized November 3, 1862. He married Rebecca Beesley the following year.

John's name appears in the records of the Utah Territorial Militia at Provo in 1864 & 1866.
