John Quincy Williams

John married Abigail Oman shortly before leaving Iowa for Utah. Her parents and siblings traveled to Utah in their own company (George Washington Oman 1851) and it is likely that Abigail and John traveled with them, but further research is needed to confirm that. The marriage announcement indicates they were to leave in 1851 and first documentation to place them in the Valley is the birth of their oldest son in March of 1852, which was prior to that year's emigration season.
