John Rogers Mackay
Son of Thomas and Ann MacKay. In the 1850 Utah census the family surname is spelled "Mckee." Birth date confirmed by West Jordan Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 13 April 1851 where his surname is spelled "MacKey." His name appears in the records of the Utah Territorial Militia in 1849 and the 1850s as "MacKey" and the same is true of his entry in the 1856 Territorial Census of Utah: at this time he was living in West Jordan where he paid tithing.
