John Saline
John traveled to Utah sometime between 1851 and 1856. He does not appear on the 1850 Utah census. The first documentation of his arrival in Utah is his participation as a rescuer of pioneer companies stranded in snow in Wyoming. His name is included in the list of men in the 1856 Rescue company. Further research is needed to determine the year he came to Utah and the name of the company he traveled with.
In some sources his surname is "Savilaakso."
