John Thomas Hickenlooper
John initially traveled to the Salt Lake Valley in the Daniel Spencer/Ira Eldredge Company in 1847. The obituary of his mother, Sarah, also confirms the family’s travel to Utah in 1847. However, he later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming.
Birth date is confirmed by Camp of Israel document.
John Thomas was rebaptized while living in the Salt Lake City Sixth Ward.
