John Thomas Phillips
According to Early Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, John Thomas Phillips joined the L.D.S. church in 1844 in Wales, served as a missionary there before coming to America in 1850, was in Utah by 1852, and in Missouri by 1857. He joined the RLDS church 16 February 1864 in St. Louis.
The family sailed to America in 1850 on the Josiah Bradley.
John's birth date is confirmed by his age at the time of his death--71 years and 24 days.
He sold land in Salt Lake City 9 October 1854.
Further research is needed to confirm the year he and his family came to Utah and the name of the pioneer company the family traveled to Utah with.
