John Whitlock Radford
Evidence from genealogical and census records proves that the Radford/Ross family came to Utah in 1850. Catherine Elizabeth Radford died en route. The first evidence to place the family in Utah is the 1850 Utah census, which was taken in the Spring of 1851, prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Family tradition (as seen on Find a Grave) indicates that they traveled with the 1850 Aaron Johnson company. However, further research is needed to confirm that.
Birth date confirmed by Provo 2nd Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 22 September 1852.
