John Willard Bircumshaw
Son of Joseph and Rosetta Placket Bircumshaw. On the 1864 manifest of the ship Monarch of the Sea he is listed as "Willis" Bircumshaw. His obituaries say that he had lived in Park City, Utah for 56 years and in Salt Lake City for 24. If one subtracts these figures from 1944 (the year he died), the remainder is 1864. This year is further confirmed by the fact that the 1900 census gives his year of immigration as 1864. In the 1870 Utah census John appears in his father's household as "William Burconshen."
