The family appears on the 1850 Utah Census (enumerated in the Spring of 1851), but does not appear on the 1850 Iowa Census taken in Sept. 1850. Thus they had to have traveled to Utah in 1850.

Birth date confirmed by the Provo 2nd Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 1 September 1852.
