Joseph Smith Beesley
Joseph's obituary states that the family came to Utah in 1862. Rebecca's obituaries also confirm that the Beesley family, including Deborah Miller, reached Utah by August 1862. Joseph's name appears in the records of the Utah Territorial Militia at Provo in 1866. Joseph was an Out-and-Back Teamster helping other immigrants complete their journey in 1864 and 1868. In the 1870 census of Utah Joseph is in the household of his mother, Mary, wuth his brothers William and Philip. More research is needed to confirm the company with which they traveled.
