Karen Marie Sorensen

Karen traveled with her brother Soren Sorensen and daughter Hansine to America. Hansine died aboard the ship The Monarch of the Sea on 25 May 1864. She was listed as "Marie Sorensen," on the company manifest.

More research is needed to confirm Karen's date of birth as secondary sources and family tradition conflict. At this time, the birth date given on the death certificate, 12 September 1840, will be used.
