According to his rebaptism record of 23 October 1855 at Brigham City, Utah, Lars was born in Denmark; he was about twenty-two years old and may be the Lars Anderson (age 21) who crossed the Atlantic on the ship James Nesmith, arriving at New Orleans on 23 February 1855. A Margrete Anderson was also on this voyage of the Nesmith. She may be the "Margaret" Anderson from Denmark who was rebaptized on the same day and at the same place as Lars. Additional research is needed to identify the pioneer company with which he crossed the plains.
