Levi Stillman Nickerson (1814 - 1853) Profile

Levi Stillman Nickerson

Died near Kanesville, Iowa, due to extreme weather and illness crossing the plains returning home from his mission.

Levi Nickerson crossed the plains with his wife, Mary Ann, and their children. His mother-in-law, Jane Neyman, and sister-in-law, Rachel Neyman, traveled in the same company. The biography of Rachel Neyman's husband, Almon Linus Fullmer, claims that the Neyman and Nickerson families traveled in the Edward Hunter company. They are all located in the same household in Utah on the 1850 census.
