Louis Rice Chaffin

Louis initially traveled to the Valley in 1852. He served as captain of the first ten with the Miller company. Company records indicate his traveling group consisted of 3 males, 2 females and 6 children. Later he again traveled to the Valley, returning from a mission, captaining his own small company in 1859.
